I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

If you don't remember your password, you can reset it by clicking the "Forgot your password?" link on the login page or by visiting the Reset Password. On that page, enter the email address you used to sign up for VirtuLessons, and an email will be sent to you with a link to reset your password. What is VirtuLessons?

VirtuLessons is a new way to learn music at the speed of life. Learn an instrument online in the comfort and convenience of your home with the live online music lessons with music teachers in the VirtuLessons eClassroom. We make learning music fun, easy, and affordable for all ages and skill levels.

How much do lessons cost?

Each VirtuLessons teacher sets their own lesson rates for half hour and one hour lessons. You can view a teacher's rates in the search results when you search for teachers and on a teacher's profile. Teachers receive 100% of their lesson rate. VirtuLessons charges a modest Technology Fee for each lesson to provide and maintain the VirtuLessons platform for online music lessons.

What are credits?

Credits are the VirtuLessons in-app currency, measured in US Dollars. They provide an easy and convenient way to prepay for lessons. If you cancel a lesson that you have already paid for, you will receive the equivalent dollar amount of credits. These credits will be automatically applied next time you schedule a lesson.

Do my credits expire?

No, credits do not expire. Once you purchase credits, they remain in your account until you redeem them for a lesson.

What form of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, Discover, and Diners Club credit and debit cards as payment to purchase credits. Payments will be charged in US dollars.

Do you offer discounts?

We offer a 4 Lesson Credit Package on our Pricing page, which includes 4 30-minute lessons (or 2 60-minute lessons) at a savings of 5%. We also occasionally email exclusive discounts and promotions to our members via our email newsletter.

What do I need for my first lesson?

You'll need your instrument of choice, a computer equipped with a webcam and microphone, and a high speed internet connection.

How do I start my lesson?

At the time of your lesson, sign into your account on www.virtulessons.com. A "Join Lesson" button will appear on your homepage at the time of your scheduled lesson to connect you with your teacher in the eClassroom.

What web browsers does the VirtuLessons eClassrooms support?

To use the interactive audio and video technology in the VirtuLessons eClassroom, you need a Mac or Windows desktop or laptop computer with Microsoft Internet Explorer 10 or later, a recent version of Google Chrome, or a recent version of Mozilla Firefox. How do I cancel a lesson?

To cancel a scheduled lesson that has not yet begun, login to your VirtuLessons student account, and click the Cancel button next to the lesson in the My Lessons section on your Student Dashboard. You will immediately receive a refund of the lesson cost in Credits to your VirtuLessons account.

Can I set my own lesson rates?

As a VirtuLessons teacher, you set your own half hour and 1 hour lesson rates. Students who view your profile and search for you will see your lesson rates, and will pay that amount plus a VirtuLessons Technology fee when they schedule a lesson with you on VirtuLessons. VirtuLessons currently does not charge teachers any fees, and you will be paid your full lesson rate for each lesson.

How do I get paid?

When you sign up to teach on VirtuLessons, you provide VirtuLessons with the information of the bank account where you would like to receive payouts. When you complete a lesson with a student, your VirtuLessons Lesson Payout balance will increase by your lesson rate for that lesson. Then, on the 15th and last day of each month, your VirtuLessons Lesson Payout balance amount will automatically be transferred to your linked bank account. VirtuLessons uses the online business payments service Stripe (www.stripe.com) to securely pay VirtuLessons teachers. VirtuLessons does not store your sensitive bank account information once it is provided to our payments service Stripe.

What payout methods do you support?

Currently, we support paying out to US based checking accounts using out online business payments provider, Stripe (www.stripe.com). We do not charge teachers any fees to receive payouts to US based bank accounts.

When do I get paid?

VirtuLessons pays out teachers twice each month, on the 15th and last day of the month. Once we initiate a transfer to your bank account, it may take several days for the balance to appear in your bank account.
