About Michael

I received my MA from Lehman College, New York where I studied trumpet with Mel Broiles of the Metropolitan Opera. I received my BA from the University of Nevada after studying with William Adam at Indiana University. My playing experience includes almost every style of music especially jazz, big band and classical. My varied experience includes the New York Symphonic Arts Ensemble (Manhatten), Berkeley Opera Orchestra and Full Faith & Credit Jazz Band (San Francisco). Several ensembles in the Twin Cities, including: Acme Jazz Company, Bloomington Symphony and Dakota Valley Symphony. I believes in establishing a firm understanding of brass playing and musical literature of all styles.
